Sigma College of Nursing & Applied Sciences was founded to and alleviate the tremendous International, National and Local shortage of Nurses and other Health care Personnel.
Sigma College of Nursing and Applied Sciences was established in April, 2004 by two Jamaican born Nurses, Dr. Vanilyn Brown-Daley and Dr. Maxine James-Francis. They are at the highest level in professional nursing with strong clinical and management experience. They each have over 30 years of experience in health care and have committed to provide quality education and training to diverse cultures.
The College is situated at Top Road, Brown’s Town in the rural Parish of ST Ann, and is well equipped to serve the local and national population of Jamaica, as it has a modern and technologically prepared environment, with academic staff and a reputation of caring for the Community in which it is located. The College also boasts an above average National pass rate in the Caricom Regional Examinations for Registered Nurses.
